The Group was Founded more than five decades back by Barrister Shri R. Dayananda Sagar and Dr. Chandramma Sagar, and has pioneered state-of-art Education,automobile services,healthcare sector etc.
The group ventured into healthcare services in 1960 under the qualified leadership of Dr. Chandramma Sagar. The healthcare and educational activities have attained a global brand status bringing pride to Bangalore. The vision of this philanthropic couple is being realized through the efforts of Dr. D. Hemachandra Sagar, Chairman – Sagar Group and Dr. D. From a courageous start as one of Bangalore’s first luxury multi-speciality hospitals, where the concept was relatively new, we have grown to become one of the most recognized household names in the healthcare industry today. We have two world class hospitals spread over 650 beds equipped with the latest technology, 10 clinics around Bangalore with a growing international presence. We aim to spread our wings across 2 tier and 3 tier cities in Karnataka by adding 1000 additional beds and I am confident you will continue to strive towards excellence in healthcare delivery. "

That being said, we have a challenging task ahead of us. This may be our 10th anniversary, but it is just the beginning in the great path towards serving humanity. In the coming years, Sagar Hospitals will have to continuously innovate and re-create itself to address a rapidly changing world. Change is the only constant, and I look forward to charting new courses and achieving many more milestones in the future with all of you.
