Health Care and Medical Education are inseparable entities. Health Care delivery system cannot be successful without maintenance of high standards of Medical Education. The need of the hour in Indian Health Care delivery system is making Tertiary Health Care easily available to the large rural population at an affordable cost. Keeping these views in mind, Akash Education Trust, Devanahalli has embarked on an ambitious project of providing Contemporary, Comprehensive and Affordable Multispecialty Health Care to the poor and needy. In addition to providing health care needs, the Trust aims to provide a platform for Quality Medical Education on par with Well-established World Class Medical Education Centers. The product of this vision is the establishment of Akash Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre and Akash Multispecialty Hospital at Devanahalli, Bangalore. The presence of these institutions in Bangalore rural district close to Kempegowda International Airport adjoining a vast rural area makes it ideal to provide a mixture of State of the Art Health Care and Quality Medical Education. The days of establishing well-equipped Medical Centers in the city and expecting rural population to travel into the cities or holding periodic Health Camps to provide health care to rural population outside the cities on an adhoc basis are numbered. The need of the hour is to establish Well-equipped, High quality, Medical Education Institutions and Health Care Centers in rural areas to provide every common man the best health care. This is precisely the objective of Akash Education Trust. It gives me immense pleasure as the Director of Akash Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre and Akash Hospital to invite you to be a part of this noble vision. The efforts of the Chairman Mr. K. Muniraju and Mrs. Pushpa Muniraju and the Trust members are commendable and deserve encouragement from all quarters. The Akash team shall make every effort to make Devanahalli as a hub for Quality Health Care and Health Education for rural population and address all the health care needs of the poor and needy. Efforts will be made to provide World Class Medical Equipments, Medical and Para-medical personnel, Infrastructure and Teaching aids.
