AIPMT
Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct All India Pre-medical/Pre-dental Medical Entrance Test (AIPMT) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses under 15% All India Quota seats and also for seats under the control of participating States/Universities/Institutions in the academic session 2014-15. NEET (national eligibility entrance test) was conducted for the 2013-2014 admissions. As per the Honourable Supreme Court directive,AIPMT has replaced NEET for 2014-2015 admissions.
Pattern of the Paper:
One paper containing 180 objective type questions
Four options with single correct answer
From the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology).
Duration of paper - 03 hours from 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
Answers to be marked on OMR sheets using ball point pen only.
Marking scheme:
4 marks for every correct response
1 mark to be deducted for every incorrect response
No deduction to be made if no response is indicated for an item in the answer sheet.
More than one answer indicated a question will be deemed as incorrect response and will be negatively marked.
Language of the Question Paper:-
Candidates can opt for Question Paper either in English or in Hindi while filling in the application form and the option cannot be changed later.
Candidates opting for English would be provided Test Booklet in English only and the candidates opt for Hindi would be provided Test Booklet in both Hindi and English, i.e., Bilingual.

Eligibility Criteria:
(i)Open to Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India
(ii) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st Dec of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. course.
(iii)Candidates from the State of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are eligible to appear in AIPMT for the seats in AFMC.
(iv) For candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats in Medical/Dental Colleges run by the Union of India, State Government, Municipal and other local authorities in India except in the State of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir
Age limit
General category - 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination.
SC/ST/OBC - relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years.
(v) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission in MBBS/BDS seats under the control of participating States/Universities/Institutions shall be as per the rules of the State/University/Institution concerned.
(vi) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio- technology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, it is 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. Further, for persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.
(vii)Those who are appearing Class XII examination in 2014 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally.

Merit/Wait List for Counselling under 15% All India Quota:
The merit list of the eligible and successful Candidates will be prepared by the CBSE on the basis of score obtained in the AIPMT 2014. The merit list will be equal to the number of seats available for allotment in MBBS/BDS courses under 15% All India Quota. There shall also be a waiting list equal to 4 times of the merit list. The list of successful candidates (Merit List/ Waiting List) shall be forwarded to the Directorate General of Health Services (Medical Examination Cell), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for the purpose of allotment of seats by Online Counselling.
