COMEDK is solely responsible for determining admissions to various undergraduate and postgradute courses, in Institutions across Karnataka. Admissions through COMEDK are based on merit lists of the candidates appearing for the examination. Since its inception, each passing year has seen an increasing number of aspirants for various disciplines like Engineering, Medical, Dental to take COMEDK entrance exams, for pursuing their graduation. COMEDK Exams for 2014-2015 is also being organized to grant admissions to various private colleges in Karnataka, in a fair and transparent manner. COMEDK UGET

The Under Graduate Entrance Test is being conducted by COMEDK for entrance to 12 Medical, 25 Dental and 140 Engineering colleges across Karnataka. These colleges serve approximately 8000 seats throughout Karnataka, thereby supporting a massive percentage of students aspiring for quality higher education.

The following programs are offered under COMEDK UGET, in the above mentioned colleges:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Architecture
• Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Sciences
• Bachelor’s in Medicine and Bachelor’s of Surgery(MBBS)

COMEDK PGET

The Post Graduate Entrance Test is being conducted by COMEDK for entrance to 12 Medical and 19 Dental colleges in Karnataka. These colleges serve approximately 600 seats across Karnataka, which is a pretty descent share made available by UGC for young aspirants willing to study MBBS or BDS.

The following programs are offered in these colleges:

• Post Graduate Medical Degree – a 3 years course.
• Post Graduate Medical Diploma –  a 2 years course.
• Post Graduate Dental Degree – a 3 years course.
• Post Graduate Dental Diploma – a 2 years course.

Strict eligibility criteria is being followed while granting admissions. The eligibility criteria for COMEDK PGET is at par with the requirements stipulated by Medical Council of India(MCI) and Dental Council of India(DCI). As per the requirements, a student needs to clear his/her MBBS or BDS from any Institution recognized by the MCI or DCI. Aspirants should have completed their internships by 30-04-2014, for those seeking admission under the COMEDK PGET 2014 examinations. General candidates should score 50% minimum for eligibility and admissions, whereas SC, ST and OBC candidates(from Karnataka only), are relaxed with the eligibility criteria to 40%.
